MUMBAI: This Bollywood music industry talent may have spread his wings in different directions but music still remains the most important aspect of his existence. Well we are talking about music composer, singer, lyricist, producer, director and actor Himesh Reshammiya. This young prodigy is all set to judge his twelfth musical reality show 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs'. Not many know but the 'Aap Ka Suroor' hitmaker started his musical career at the age of 13, thus he is the perfect choice to judge a kids reality show.
Surprisingly this happens to be Reshammiya’s first at judging a kids reality show. “This is the first time I am doing a reality show with kids and I have actually become a child now. I am living my childhood through this show and learning so much from them. The kids keep pulling my legs and I am enjoying it thoroughly,” shared the ‘Aap Se Mausiiquii’ singer.
Having started working at an early age Reshammiya never got to be a child completely. His tiny shoulders took responsibility too early in life thus; he looks at this show as an opportunity to re-live those lost childhood days.
The singer believes that starting young has its own set of ups and downs. He stated that the kids on ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs’ will get a lot of attention at young age and this to an extent will spoil them. But he also adds that this kid of coverage is necessary for their future growth.
Reshammiya further added that reality shows do not promise a future career. In fact, the actual struggle of a singer begins after the end of musical shows. Having judged 11 shows he believes that destiny plays and important part in shaping ones career. “Bollywood isn’t the only platform for a singer. There are artists in the industry who are doing great work out of Bollywood and earning well too. So I believe it is all about destiny, how well it treats,” said Himesh.
The 'Viraaniya' singer has a little something ready for the winner of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Li’l Champs’. The composer is working on songs for Salman Khan and amongst them is a song that demands a childs voice and Reshammiya is saving this one for the winner of the reality show.
Apart from reality shows and Bollywood the singer-composer is giving some thought to international collaborations. Being a huge fan of Rihanna’s work, Reshammiya wishes to collaborate with her. “An international album is in my to-do- list but I have to remove six months off my busy schedule to start working towards it. Releasing each international song is like a film, you have to promote them. So I don’t know when will I be able to launch my songs but I will definitely do it,” he ended.
