MUMBAI: BookASmile announces a charity initiative, a music scholarship programme for April 2017.
BookASmile, the charity initiative run by India's leading online ticketing platform, BookMyShow was created with a vision to support special causes and enrich the lives of the less fortunate across India through the medium of ‘Experiences and Enjoyment.’
For the upcoming April 2017 batch which will be the second batch, BookASmile has three students from Nayan Foundation based in Mumbai (visually impaired) who have registered for the Hindi movie songs programme where two students are aged 29 years and one student is aged 61 years.
The music scholarship programme will take place at the True School of Music (TSM) in Mumbai, and the programme will be conducted by Shankar Mahadevan Academy. It is a three-month programme, starting first week of April.
BookASmile also supported the prestigious Ranthambore Festival, which was held between 27-29 January at Nahargarh Palace, Ranthambore.
The recent initiatives of BookASmile have been sending 20 kids from 'Music Basti' (NGO based out of Delhi) to perform at Global Citizen Festival 2016, Standard Chartered Dream Run, empowering women in the Mumbai slums and the women artisans from Rajasthan on the occasion of Women's Day among others.
