MUMBAI: Since its inception in 2013, Radio City Freedom Awards have transformed the dynamics of the independent music prospect in India over the years; also, this is the platform to distinguish the essence and diversity of independent music across all the genres and languages.
However, last night the ‘Sounds of the Soil’, an ode to independent music ended as a commercial Bollywood bash, where people were seen dancing with popular Bollywood numbers and all that jazz.
The fourth edition of the Radio City Freedom Awards comes to an end on 22 March at the Hard Rock Café, Worli. In its fourth year, Radio City Freedom Awards took a leap from an annual award function to a movement ‘Sounds of the Soil’, that captured local music, stories and music.
In between the award ceremony, we saw performances by Paradigm Shift, Raja Ram, Mumbai's Finest, also, Sukanti and Anushree’s who created some magical vibes with their sound.
