MUMBAI: Baleno Wicked Weekends returns to Delhi this weekend with the crew who made India’s first Jamaican sound system. Reggae Rajahs – a crew of MCs and DJs that built 10,000 Lions Sound System (a hand built Jamaican style sound system), have been pushing the sound of roots reggae and dub through the country since 2009.
Having played major international festivals like Outlook Festival, Rototom Sunsplash and Sziget Festival, the Rajahs have played some of the most prolific festivals in India like Taalbelia, Sula Fest, VH1 Supersonic and more.
Conceptualised with the aim of redefining and reinvigorating nightlife in India, Baleno Wicked Weekends continues its journey when it returns to the capital city of India, Delhi on 3 June, with the Reggae Rajahs.
