MUMBAI: To express their gratitude to the nation and the ones who spend sleepless nights at the border, our musicians created, Independence Day special songs.

Arunaja Nalinkshan: The National Anthem by The Stage 2 top three finalist Arunaja is a tribute song which takes one back to the pages of history. Arunaja with Shark and Ink’s producer Joshi has come up with this patriotic recording.

Hrishikesh Chury: Singer Hrishikesh who was roped in SaReGaMaPa as a jury also came up with an anthem along with Singer Hariharan, Roop Kumar Rathod, Harshdeep Kaur, Divya Kumar, Jasvinder Singh and Heenal Jain. Anthem titled Mitti features the farmers from different states of India. The idea behind making this video was to highlight the farmers who toil tirelessly to feed not just their family but the country.

Speaking about the anthem Hrishikesh said, “I thank all the farmers we all have grown up because of the food be it in home or restaurants. At the end of the day credit goes to the backbone of the country – farmers. I have a NGO called Hallway Foundation which fights for the causes and one of the causes is monitoring the wastage of food. I personally don’t like people when they waste food because what we are eating is the result of day and night efforts of Farmers.”

Anisha Dixit- Rikshawali: Indian YouTuber who is known for funny videos also came up with her version of National Anthem where she features foreigners who sing along with her.

“I travel around the world I meet lot of foreigners whom I also take in my funny videos. So this time I wanted to take our anthem to global level by taking foreigners in the video,” stated Dixit.

With the release of the anthem video the Rickshawali’s YouTube handle has hit 3,00,000 subscribers.

Vox Chord and Voice of Ram: Vox Chord also collaborated with Voice of Ram and came up with an acapella version of National Anthem which was produced by Bharadwaj. The singers in the anthem are Vaishali Kannan, Vandana Mazan, Vagu Mazan, Aarthi, Bola Subramanyam, Brainard David and Alex Samuel Jenito.

Hard Kaur: On the 70th Independence Day Singer and rapper Hard Kaur came up with Lehra Tiranga with Bhavin Dhanak. The song talks about sacrifice of the soldiers and led the nation to freedom.

ISRO Scientists’ special: ISRO scientists also made an Independence Day special song called I am an India. Under the name Space Engineers Association the song was composed by Shiju G Thomas. The song was also sung in Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Marathi. The six minutes video shows ISRO scientists from different states who come together to share the message of riots to go away, weapons to move aside and move forward together as a nation. The song is currently winning the internet.
