MUMBAI: NCPA's upcoming presentation in Indian music, Band Baja will tonight feature the talented band Indie Routes. The band is true to their roots buried deep in sublime music that celebrates the brilliance of Indian music with a contemporary touch.
Indie Routes comprises of six talented musicians, Abhas Joshi (lead vocal), Shreyas Joshi (supporting vocal, guitar, music arrangement), Anmol (lead guitar), Papu (Bass guitar), Kahan (Percussions) and Aryaman (drums).
The band's performance at NCPA, Tata Theatre tonight will be a mix of popular songs by artists like Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and their original songs. The colour and the mood of the concert would be soothing with some soulful melodies which will suit the environment of the place.
On their association with Band Baja, Abhas says, “We are glad to be associated with Band Baja and NCPA. Band Baja is a beautiful initiative taken by NCPA to promote new artists and bands and we are privileged to be a part of it and would also like to thank Kailash Kher ji for supporting and appreciating us.”
The viewers at NCPA will be in for a treat as the band also plans to release their latest single at Band Baja. “We've got a song specially composed for this concert; the song is called Sun Mahiya. This song is dedicating to those Indian women who are maintaining a beautiful balance between their personal and professional life,” explains the lead vocalist.
The band will perform at Tata Theatre tonight at 7:30 pm.
