MUMBAI: Swedish duo First Aid Kit shares the music video for their fantastic new single It’s A Shame directed by Mats Udd, It’s A Shame takes sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg through a sliding doors like journey through the streets of Stockholm. Johanna’s world couldn’t be sunnier, while Klara’s is anything but, beautifully illustrating the bright yet desperately empty themes of the song.
First Aid Kit says, “We proudly present the video for It’s A Shame, directed by our dear friend and long time collaborator Mats Udd. Inspired by Sliding Doors and musicals, watch it to see what happens to us during a nightly walk. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.It’s A Shame was recorded in early 2017 and produced by Tucker Martine (My Morning Jacket), Laura Veirs in Portland, OR.”
In addition to sharing the video for It’s A Shame, First Aid Kit has announced a 2018 North American headline tour, kicking off January 24 at the Fox Theatre in Oakland and continuing through a final night at New York City’s Beacon Theatre, with Van William supporting. Tickets for the tour are on sale October 13, 2017. The band is currently on tour in the U.S., having performed at both Austin City Limits and San Francisco’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festivals this past weekend. Additional performances in Los Angeles, Austin and New York City are confirmed.
