MUMBAI: Globetrotting producer Onra, who is regarded as one of the most exciting beatmakers of the past few years for his chopped up sample-based hip-hop indebted to funk and R’nB – often described as worldly will perform in Delhi as part of another edition of bhane. LIVE on 24 November.

Hip-hop producer with albums like Long Distance, Fundamentals and the Chinoiseries trilogy will play a one-off show.

French maestro Onra, whose iconic Chinoiseries trilogy (made from scratch with samples found while travelling in Asia and released over 2007 to 2017), has gained a cult following and left a deep mark on beat-making culture.

His talent for delivering emotive, soulful hip-hop that really hits the spot is demonstrated through his multitude of releases since 2006. Hailing from Paris, Arnaud has produced six albums and even more EPs. Through his various releases, Onra evidently takes influences from a hugely eclectic range of sounds, from jazz through to funk and R’nB; carefully and respectfully using these styles to craft a unique and refreshing take on traditional hip-hop.

The 24 November show will be Onra’s only India appearance.
