MUMBAI: No matter your musical tastes, from EDM to jazz, from indie to pop, there's a music festival out there that brings out the fashion diva in each one of us. In fact, that one thought in your mind is "what the heck do I wear?” before attending a music festival. Here, we bring you the solution to this problem.
Read on for the looks that'll guarantee you a spot on the best-dressed list at TIMEOUT 72 by Waterlemon Events.
We got the Czarina of Indian fashion and four-time national award winner Neeta Lulla who recently designed for KSHMR and The Chainsmokers to curate a special TIMEOUT 72 fashion line for everyone who’s headed to Vagator this December. We are sure most attendees would want to turn up in their chic best considering the festival has one sauvé line-up comprising of Wiz Khalifa, Jason Derulo, Martin Garrix, Timmy Trumpet and Don Diablo. We are hoping the audience -- like the artiste line-up -- is decidedly diverse in their wardrobe choices.
Neeta Lulla tells us, “People really think about what they’re going to wear now. The viewpoint on the festival as a season has changed. People want to dress up and plan their outfits. People now think when they pack, 'How will this photograph? Select something light and comfortable. Look for outfits which are cosy and allow you to move, because you’ll be dancing and jumping all day as you listen to your favourite artistes and bands. We have added an Indian element to every look and also kept in mind the theme “Time” and revolved around futuristic, metallic texture and accessories fused them with Indian embroideries and prints which are in sync with the theme and vibe of the fest. Here are some suggestions!”
Look 1: Adorn in a psychedelic bomber jacket paired with lace-up black shorts with a holographic organza shirt dress.
Look 2: A fur crop top coupled with boyfriend jeans with emoji patchwork. Add a tie and dye fringed shrug, a holographic necklace, and white sneakers is a good mix to complete the look.
Look 3: A twist-front crop top, studded metallic mini skirt paired with a tasselled ankle-length cape, oxidised ear cuffs and Kolhapuri slides with mirror work detail is what is going to blend well with your sass.
Look 4: Spruce up in a black cartoon alien print t-shirt dress combining it with tie and dye thigh high socks and black platform sneakers to look all dapper ready.
Look 5: Team your mesh jacket with Ikat printed pom-pom shorts along with calf length rose gold gladiators and futuristic ear cuffs.
Look 6: Wear this double thigh-high slit maxi skirt with ruffled crop top with Kutchi mirror work detail and add a tribal belt to this ensemble. Complete your look by wearing studded rings and tie up sandals.
Look 7: Block print animal co-ords with a long fringe tribal printed cape paired with espadrille platform sandals to channel the boho vibe for the concert night.
Tickets of the festival are available on Insider, Paytm and BookMyShow.
