Naturally, when the guest list included the likes of Jackie Chan, Mallika Sherawat and Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal should have expected a public and media frenzy to attend the do. What he probably didn't anticipate was the agony when eager beaver journalists and fans were injured after police resorted to a lathi charge to control the mobs.
