NARM adds Anthony Montenegro to board of directors

MUMBAI: NARM, the music business association, and digitalmusic.org, the home of NARM's digital initiatives, are pleased to welcome Nokia's Anthony Montenegro to the Board Of Directors. Montenegro replaces Nokia's Jonathan Dworkin who is no longer with the company.

"With an extensive and impressive background in both entertainment and mobile, Anthony brings a unique prospective to the Board," said Jim Donio, president of NARM/digitalmusic.org. "We are proud of Nokia's continued support of our Board and excited to work with Anthony as we advance the business of music."

Anthony Montenegro, known commonly in the industry simply as ‘Monte,’ joined Nokia as head of Americas for the Ovi music services organization in December of 2008, bringing with him a record of 14 years building data and entertainment products/services, and leading cross-functional teams in the telecommunications, internet, and wireless sectors. Since joining Nokia, he has held a number of roles supporting Nokia's mobile entertainment platforms, most notably Nokia's comes with music, Ovi music store, and Nokia music/Nokia music+ services. He has overseen international teams with market launches in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, and Argentina.

NARM’s Board of Directors also includes J&R Music world chairman Rachelle Friedman, iTunes vice chairman Brent Muhle, Immergent Treasurer John Trickett, Director-at-Large Len Cosimano, Microsoft Christina Calio, Alliance Entertainment Corp, Mike Davis, Homer’s,  Mike Fratt, Baker & Taylor Steve Harkins, Dimple Records Dilyn Radakovitz, Amazon Ryan Redington, Spotify Steve Savoca and Muve Music Jeff Toig.
