MUMBAI: Danish R and B group, Artifact Collective has released their new song, Light Blue. Artifact Collective are a crew of 6 twenty-something’s from Copenhagen. Writing, arranging, recording, producing and designing everything themselves, their style of languid, nostalgia-washed R and B has already seen them pick up a number of exciting co-signs from abroad. And, now with the release of this new, slow-burning, pensive heater, it only looks set to cement their burgeoning reputations.

Lead singer and songwriter Victor writes songs about being young in a capital city, his complex, pensive lyrics drawing inspiration from troubled relationships, daydreaming, Twin Peaks and various YouTube memes.

Speaking on the track, Victor states, “Light Blue is about the cynicism between two people who ignore their relationship problems and don’t talk about things, building up inner frustration rather than resolving the issues in the first place. It's the feeling of being a supporting actor in a film that was meant to be about your own life.”

With so much talent coming from the northern side of Europe at the moment, Artifact Collective are set to add their names to an ever-expanding roster of exciting talent.
