iHeartRadio Music Festival 2013 goes bigger with some big names

MUMBAI: Tickets for the iHeart Radio Music Festival 2013 in Las Vegas have already been sold out and there is no wondering why. Set to take place on 20 and 21 September, the show which will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest will feature performances by some of the music industry’s past and present heavyweights. From rock to pop to trance, the festival showcases a lineup to impress any music fan.

While it is only in its third year, the iHeartRadio Music Festival 2013 has outgrown its sole venue at the MGM Grand Arena. Expected to be bigger than ever before, the festival has added a Fan Village to accommodate day time performances, sponsors and booths. The 15 acre area where the show will be held will also feature fan zones, interactive experiences and games put forth by iHeart Radio sponsors.

Headlining the show is Sir Elton John, Justin Timberlake and Katy Perry and joining these musical masters will be Bruno Mars, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Muse, Fun., Ke$ha, Drake, Miley Cyrus, Chris Brown, Tiesto, Maroon 5 and Keith Urban among others. Also making a guest appearance at the show will be Robin Thicke who is enjoying worldwide success with his latest track ‘Blurred Lines’. But perhaps two of the biggest names to grace the event will be the legendary Queen (with Adam Lambert) and former Beatles member Sir Paul McCartney.

The festival will be broadcasted live via Clear Channel radio stations all over the country and will also be streamed online. Reports also said the festival will be taped as a four hour prime-time TV special. Radio listeners will also be able to hear the live audio stream if they tune into Clear Channel Radio station.
