MUMBAI: Bollywood singing star Shaan spotted talent in Ritu Agarwal when she was a contestant with music reality show Voice India. Their connection clearly shows, as the mentor Shaan has composed a track for Ritu Agarwal, co-singing with her too.

Speaking about Ritu's USP as a singer, Shaan says, "I like that her voice is not influenced by any trends. She has a classic feel to her voice, which is quite unique. Her voice connects pretty good."

Their new collaboration together is a track called Adhoorey, a love song.  Sharing about the song, Shaan says, "We thought of this song, keeping Ritu's voice and liking. We had limited time too as Ritu was here for just three days. Luckily, everything feel into place. Even lyrics of the song penned by Kunwar Juneja are amazing too.  Our thought was to create a soft, melodious song, as personally I too love this genre of music more."

Ritu adds, "It was a very organic process and that reflects in the song."

Speaking about her mentor, Ritu says, "Usually music reality shows get over very soon and we tend to lose contact with our mentors. But in this case, I am glad I still have him as my guide."

In addition to the original track of Adhoorey, Shaan and Ritu have done a special cover for one of most magical songs Jab Se Tera Naina from Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sawanraiya. Both the songs are available on Youtube channels of the artistes and has been done in collaboration with Qyuki Media. Speaking about the collaboration, Shaan said, "Without Qyuki Media's involvement, this would have been a task. From planning to conceptualising, Qyuki Media was involved at every state."
