Garba in Bollywood

MUMBAI: Navratri is here! The streets are flooded with colourful lights and people are all set to hit the dance floor and groove to the heavy beats of ‘garba’. Radioandmusic.com brings you a list of ‘garba’ tracks from Bollywood which will set the mood for the festival.

Dhooli Taro: Now this is a very popular track from the film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Time has simply not faded the essence of the track. Dhooli Taro is still an ideal and a foot-tapping number. The song was picturised on ex Miss World Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan.

Chudi Jo Khanki: Talking about garba without mentioning Faluguni Pathak’s name would be so unjust. The ‘Dandiya Queen’ made her debut with the song ‘Chudi Jo Khaki’ was proved to be a huge hit and later the song was incorporated in the film ‘Pyar Koi Khel Nahi’, starring Apoorva Agnihotri, Sunny Deol and Mahima Chaudhry.

Dola Dola: The song features Aishwarya Rai, Sonali Kulkarni and Martin Henderson from the movie Pride and Prejudice. The song makes for an ideal ‘garba’ number and makes you dance even when you are in a low mood.

O Sheronwali: The song immediately takes you back down memory lane with Amitabh and Rekha. The song was sung by Rafi and Asha Bhosle.

Hey Shubharambh: The song is shot in the lanes of Ahmadabad, displaying the energetic ‘garba’ moves of Amrita Puri and Rajkumar Yadav. The track is energetic and makes it ideal for adding to the list.
