MUMBAI: Shibani Kashyap, who recently performed at the Worli Festival 5.0 in Mumbai, showcased a glimpse of her recreated version of Chandini Raatein, which will be releasing soon.

Speaking about the song, Shibani said, “There is this song called Chandini Raatein – a remake of the original number with the similar title. Basically, it is a Pakistani folk song, which I have remade and it will be releasing soon.”

Further speaking about her other projects, she revealed, “I am also working on sound tracks of a couple of Bollywood movies. There is also a song with Zee Music Company, Ye Kaise Peed Hai, whose video I have recently shot for.”

“I am working on content and creating as many originals as possible,” said the singer, who believes that festivals like the Worli Festival 5.0 help musicians to showcase their original music.

Well, right now it is going the right way as indie music scene is coming back with a bang with many indie pop singers coming up. Lot artists are becoming popular on the indie music scene because of original songs, which is the right thing. Rather than copying anybody and doing covers or hankering after only Bollywood, it is important to showcase your uniqueness and this will take you long way.”
