MUMBAI: Twin sisters and famous Bollywood singer Prakriti Kakar and Sukriti Kakar recently released their debut single, Sudhar Ja, which is produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series. Flaunting their individuality simultaneously, both, in voice and while featuring in the video, the sisters debut in the world of single’s is quite noteworthy. The duo has also composed its music while lyrics are penned by Kunaal Vermaa.

Speaking about the song and their single’s debut, Sukriti says, “It’s time to sudro I think. Everybody has been giving us great reactions. It’s our debut single and Sudhar Ja featuring Sukriti and Prakriti hasn’t happened ever. Year 2019 has started on a very amazing note for both of us.”

“Like Sukriti said, we have been around for a long time and we have been singing individually, but there was this question everyone used to ask us, ‘why haven’t you collaborated?’ So, this song is for everybody who has been waiting for a collaboration between us to happen and the best thing is that it’s happening on the official channel of T-Series,” Prakriti adds.

On collaboration with T-Series, Prakriti exclaims, “It is the biggest subscription base you can find worldwide and is on the verge of hitting 100 million now. We want to thank the entire team of T-Series for believing in the song.”

On being asked, what took them so long to come up with a single, Prakriti reveals, “I think it was about finding the right label. We were waiting for T-Series as well as for the right song. There were a bunch of songs; we played to the team, who found Sudhar Ja to be the first right song for us to do.”

On this Sukriti adds, “We had composed this song two years ago, but it has come out in the very beginning of 2019. It has taken a long time, but hopefully everything else that comes after this is going to be quicker.”

The twins had a gala time shooting the song. Also, it was T-Series team’s first time shooting with the twins. The video has been shot at some exotic locations. “There was so much fun that we had to cancel our flights,” says Prakriti.

The music video is about issues in relationships and a wakeup call to all guys out there to Sudhar Ja! Speaking about this Sukriti shares, “When you look at the video, there are two parallel stories happening. I haven’t seen many duo music videos.”

To this, Prakriti adds, “It was more important to establish what’s going wrong between both love stories, which were taking their own time in the video.”

On being asked if they will be coming with more such collaborations, Prakriti exclaims, “Yes, people are liking this duo thing. We haven’t shot yet, but the second song also will be about us getting together hopefully.”

“The song might be out in a month and half,” adds Sukriti.

Lasltly, on their upcoming Bollywood songs, Sukriti concludes on behalf of both, “They are all under wraps, but we will meet again whenever they release and talk about them.”

Sudhar Ja has garnered over three million views on YouTube. The music has been produced by Abhijit Vaghani. The video is directed by Robby Singh.
