MUMBAI: Known for her popular covers and original numbers like Tu Hai from Mohenjo Daro, Sanah Moidutty is all set to perform at Hungama Artist Aloud presents Awestrung Reloaded. Slated to be held on 22 March in Mumbai, the event will host a musical evening like never before and Sanah has key plans to make her performance special. The singer-songwriter talks about her upcoming performance, projects and more in an exclusive interview with Radioandmusic.
Speaking about her foreseen performance at Hungama Artist Aloud's Awestrung Reloaded, Sanah Moidutty says, “I will be performing a very special song at Awestrung Reloaded. It's an original song, I want to surprise the audience with. I still remember I had written its tune on the guitar while I was just sitting in the kitchen and strumming. The song is really close to my heart and I can't wait to play it for the audience.”
“It is for the first time that I'll be performing an original composition in front of a live audience. I think this is what makes the performance so special. I am extremely excited about it,” she further adds on the key highlight of her performance.
Further commenting on your association with Hungama Artist Aloud, Sana exclaims, “I'm really glad and proud to be a part of this initiative by Hungama Artist Aloud. It feels great to share the stage with so many talented artists. Hungama Artist Aloud has always been the flag bearer of independent music in the country.”
Emphasizing on how concert's like 'Awestrung Reloaded' help artists, the popular singer says, “Awestrung Reloaded has given artists a platform to express their creativity. Songs which would have otherwise gone unheard will now have an outlet. It is a great platform for independent artists to showcase their work to the general public and receive appreciation and love. It motivates and inspires us to work hard and give our audience the best of everything.”
On being asked about her upcoming projects, the singer shares, “At present, I am focusing on writing original songs and developing music. I am working on renditions and originals for my YouTube channel. I will also be looking forward to some interesting collaborations this year.”
Lastly, speaking about the future of indie music in India, Sanah signs off, “Yes, it definitely has a future. Social media has changed a lot of things. There's more competition but also more avenues to do original content. People have become more receptive to anything that's fresh and new. I'm sure it's only going to get better.”
