Satish Babbar's Gazal Album released to help Neurology patients in AIIMS

NEW DELHI: A new music by renowned Ghazal singer Satish Babbar and his talented daughter Vani Babbar Gutt, ‘Mujh Se Pelhi Si Mohabbat’ was released over the weekend by Salma Ansari, wife of Vice President Hamid Ansari.

Ansari paid tributes to the Legendary poet Janaab Faiz Ahmed Faiz and unveiled the cover of the new album. This album is not just dedicated to the poet but also to the patients suffering from neurological problems. The album comprises of Eight Ghazals which are as follows:

· Mujh Se Pehli Si Mohabbat – Very Famous

· Kab tak dil ki khair Manayien

· Raaz-e-ulfat chhupa ke dekh liya

· Dil mein ab yun tere bhoole hue gham aate hain

· Kab yaad mein tera saath nahi

· Dono jahaan tere mohabbat mein haar ke

· Na ganvao naavke neemkash

· Hum per tumhari chah ka ilzaam hi to hai

The launch was followed by a live performance of the singers –Satish Babbar and Vani Babbar Gutti, which majorly included Ghazals from album launched, as well as some of their famous compositions. During the programme an audio video clipping of the poet rendering his one of the masterpieces – Mujhse pehli si mohabbat was also shown.

The programme was graced by many other eminent personalities as guest of honour from different fields. Prof. Krishna Bisht – Musicologist was also present at the event.

The aim of Satish Babbar Creative Music Foundation to release the Album was not just dedicating it to a great poet but for a cause – to help the patients suffering from neurological problems but are unable to afford the cost of its treatment. The entire earnings from the sale of the album on the above mentioned date would be given to the Department of Neurology, Neurosciences Centre, All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
