Following the highly successful hitm Save Me, which has garnered over 10 million streams on Spotify alone, Vintage Culture is once again claiming his throne as a household name across South America and beyond. With the help of fellow Brazilian artists Fancy Inc, My Girl stands as a skilful production layered with pulsing bass lines, funky drops, and catchy lyrics, making it an instant party anthem. The track’s deep house melody marries well with the upbeat pop vocals, instantly transporting the listener to the dancefloor.
The music video follows Vintage Culture as he awakens in the midst of an ended after-party. Party-goers are asleep – red cups in hand, sprawled out on inflatable pool toys and throughout the house – all indicators of a wild night. Vintage Culture is then transported back to the middle of the raving party where he meets Fancy Inc. The rest of the visuals find the producers in pure debauchery filled with dancing, drinking, party tricks, glitter, and neon lights – the epitome of a good time.
Speaking about the track, Vintage Culture says, “It has energy, a nice vocal, and the lyrics reflects those things. I’m really happy to share this song with my audience and I hope they truly enjoy the music and make some new memories.”
Vintage Culture is no stranger to the scene, delivering hits including I Will Find, Pour Over and Cante por Nós, that have collectively amassed over 80 million streams on Spotify. The producer’s signature sound merges retro synth pop influences with modern deep house and nu disco, resulting in a unique brand of dance music. As the founder Só Track Boa, a record label and branded party, Vintage Culture hosts major events throughout his native country and is on his way to reaching worldwide recognition.
Consisting of duo Adriano Dub and Matheus Rodrigues, Fancy Inc curated their sound from their hometown of Curitiba, Brazil, blending house and techno with cultural influences of their home country. With over 30 releases and appearances on major labels such as Lost Records and Criminal Hype, Fancy Inc have found their way into the most demanding dance floors in the world.
“This was the greatest work we’ve ever done in our career,” Fancy Inc explain. “From conception to release, this partnership was a watershed in terms of artistic and musical affinity that we discovered with Vintage Culture.”
Tiësto’s own Dutch imprint, Musical Freedom, is home to all of his releases, as well as other hand-selected artists. “I love this record and the crazy big drop,” declares the EDM powerhouse. “The reactions have been insane every time I play it live and when I share clips on my Instagram.”
