Planet Radio City offers International and Love stations

MUMBAI: Planet Radio City will be offering a double treat this Valentine Day as it plans to introduce its listeners to two new stations– Radio City International and Radio City Love. Both web stations will air live programming on the day and will feature hours of international music and contemporary love hits.

Speaking with Radioandmusic.com, Radio City digital media and new business, business head and SVP Rachna Kanwar said, "Having established a strong presence in the 'popular', Indie and regional genres, the launch of Radio City International and Radio City Love marks our foray into the international music space. The programming is specifically designed to appeal to the listeners in India as well as those abroad."

She further added, "RJ Annie who is the host of 'Wild Wild West' would be now heard on Radio City International bringing in the interactive element to our offering."

International will be playing contemporary international hits by artists like Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Akon, Pitbull, Rihanna and Michael Buble. The station will also feature hits from the 80s and 90s by Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, Shaggy, Backstreet Boys and other popular artistes. According to the research carried out by Planet Radio City, it was found that young audience are always in search of international hits (classic and contemporary) by popular artists.

The second station- Radio City Love will play a compilation of melodious love songs by artists like Celine Dion, Shania Twain, Bryan Adams, John Mayer and many others.

Talking about both stations, Kanwar said, "For starters we have launched two web radio stations simultaneously giving our listeners the power of choice. Listeners can choose the kind of music that they want to listen to. Our differentiation comes from our expertise in the radio space and constant evaluation of listener taste."

The 24 hour station will be promoted actively on their digital platform – Planet Radio City and social media entities.
