Shalmali Kholgade to perform for Red Live at Sula Wineyards
MUMBAI: Singer-songwriter Shalmali Kholgade will be performing at the Sula Vineyards in Nasik, on Women's Day. The concert is a part of Red Live, Red FM's concert organising arm. The singer's two latest tracks are 'Besharmi Ki Height' and 'Shanivaar Raati' from the film Main Tera Hero.
The 'Pareshaan' singer has performed for Red Live once before in Kolkata for Red FM's 'Bajaate Raho' 10th anniversary bash in May 2013. Speaking about her experience, Kholgade said, "I first performed for Red Live in Calcutta a while ago. It was a memorable one because it was held right in the middle of a mall foyer. The concert was definitely quite the milestone for me in my career because it was for a whole bunch of very enthusiastic people, big lovers of Red FM. They gave me a lot of love, which I really needed at that point to feel like my career was on the right path." She added, "I am really looking forward to the Nasik one and I hope that it will be the same, if not better that the one in Calcutta."
When asked if she still felt the need for validation, she replied, "I think I have received more validation than I had ever dreamt of seeking and it really makes me feel blessed to have people by my side who have loved the songs that I have sung so far. I plan to do those songs the best I can."
The artiste sounds pumped about her performance on Saturday, 8 March. "This will be my first performance at the Sula Vineyards. I have heard so much about the place and I had always planned to go there, if not to sing then at least for a visit. Nothing is better than performing there, so I am really excited about that.
Kholgade is presently working quite a lot with Sajid Wajid. "I am really excited about a particular song that was of a higher difficulty level for me to achieve. I hope it turns out good," she laughed nervously, while refusing to reveal any more details about the track.
