Radio Mirchi's RJ Jeeturaaj turns RJ Jeeturaani

MUMBAI: Like everyone else, Radio Mirchi will also be doing something special to commemorate International Women's Day. For one day, the FM station will be calling itself 'Radio Mirchi 98.STREE FM - She's hot'. To celebrate and salute women all over, particularly those from Mumbai, the station has developed programming around women of India.

Another interesting element to the celebration is that 'brand RJ' Jeeturaaj from Radio Mirchi's popular morning show, 'Hi Mumbai' will be addressing himself as RJ 'Jeeturaani' to salute all the women out there, in his own special way. Throughout the week, he will be featuring various women achievers from all walks of life on his show and applaud their accomplishments.

Radio Mirchi Mumbai Cluster head Preeti Nihalani says, "This Women's Day, we are saluting the spirit of women. Everything we do this week will have a generous dose of womanhood in it. Right from the station name to the playlist, everything will be dedicated to the women of India."

Contemporary songs such as 'O-Womaniya' to old classics such as 'Bindiya Chamkegi', peppy songs such as 'Mere Hathon Mein' to soulful songs such as 'Sajna Hai Mujhe' and many more, will be played all day long.

To culminate the Women's Day celebrations, Radio Mirchi has organised 'She Rocks', a special music concert at St. Andrews Auditorium, Bandra on Saturday. Rekha Bhardwaj will be dedicating a musical night to women by singing some of her famous renditions.
