Breakout Asian star grentperez collabs with Ruel on 'Dandelion'

MUMBAI: Breakout artist grentperez releases "Dandelion" featuring Ruel, and announces his highly anticipated debut album 'Backflips in a Restaurant' via Fast Friends and AWAL. The new track follows the rapid success of two singles off of this album, "Fuzzy Feeling", and "2DK", which were met with praise from the press including Billboard, Flaunt, The Face, triple j, and Buzzfeed among others. “'Backflips In A Restaurant' is a taste of what's to come in my artistry. I wanted to use this album to express who I am as an artist and a creator, what I have to offer in terms of differing genre's and in this case; flavour. Growing up, I soaked up a lot of music from 70s soft rock, to 2000s R&B, bossa nova, indie, rap, etc. This music effectively influenced my music making, and since

my first release in 2021 I've been itching to explore and experiment with my sound.

As a creative, I believe my job is to constantly explore and express myself,

and with 'Backflips In A Restaurant', I'm taking the steps to do just that”

'Backflips in a Restaurant' comes off the heels of an already acclaimed body of work by the 23-year-old Filipino-Australian breakout artist. grentperez is known for his signature charm of crafting melodic love songs, capturing a genre-bending evolution of his roots as a bedroom-pop sensation, mixing elements of R&B, indie-folk, pop-punk, symphonic pop, ’70s soft-rock, and so much more into his most boldly original body of work to date. The 13-track LP embodies a sonic playground, from tracks his day-one fans will resonate with to their core, to offering a newly explored range from the vocalist. A Deluxe Edition with 2 bonus tracks is also to be expected, rounding it to a 15-track body of work.
