MUMBAI: Diwali is all about family gatherings, sweets, lights and spreading the cheer. On the occasion of the five day festival, our musicians spoke to Radioandmusic.com about the joy of being together with the family and enjoying the festival to the fullest.
Sonu Nigam: Deepavali is one of the legacies passed on to us by our ancestors. I feel the festival symbolises the true spirit of India. I wish all my countrymen a very happy and a prosperous Diwali. May God bless all of us.
Palak Muchhal: I wish everyone a very very happy Diwali. This Diwali I would request all of us to stop bursting crackers as not only does it pollute the air, but also the stray animals get affected by the noise. I say this because I have a pet at home and even the slightest of noise startles him; image the plight of the stray animals.
Tulsi Kumar: Diwali is the festival of lights, happiness and new beginnings. May everyone have a pollution free happy Diwali. I am strictly against noise pollution as I feel rather than spending so much on crackers, donate to the needy.
Armaan Malik: I wish all my fans a very happy Diwali. Be safe and most importantly, celebrate it with your family and loved ones.
Mohammad Irfan: I wish everyone a very happy and a safe Diwali. The only thing I would say is light lamps and do not burn crackers.
Arko Mukherjee: Light up everything you can, but let the noise be music.
Shweta Pandit: I would say, celebrate the festival with your family members and the loved ones. This is the time when you need to carry forward the love that you have got from them. So, I hope and pray that all of us have a safe and a happy Diwali.
Aishwarya Majumdar: I wish all my fans a very happy Diwali. Be safe and celebrate it with your family and the near and dear ones. Also please avoid burning crackers.
Mohini Dey: I wish this auspicious occasion of Diwali burns out all our bad times and lights up our good times.
Rahul Vaidya: I would like to wish all my fans and friends a very happy Diwali. The only thing I would say is celebrate the festival with least possible crackers. Also try and donate to the poor around because if you have been blessed by God to celebrate Diwali in a good fashion, you should donate a little. Light up your houses and maintain the festivity of the festival.
