MUMBAI: Music composer duo Bobby Imran, who recently composed music for the film 'Khamoshiyan' is now directing music for Amit Khanna's film 'Badmashiyaan'. The lyrics of the songs are penned by Shabbir Ahmed. The film is about a girl who traps three boys for money, and stars Sujana Mukherjee, Gunjan Malhotra, Karan Mehra, Sidhant Gupta and Sharib Hashmi.
"It was after we were done with the music of 'Khamoshiyan', we approached the producers of the film 'Badmashiyaan'. There are four songs in the album composed by us, out of which the song 'Shaitaaniyan' has already been released. It is sung by Ankit Tiwari," said Bobby aka Anupam Amod. Bobby recently sung the song 'Subhan Allah' along with his fellow composer Imran.
Both of them worked as assistants to the famous music composer Pritam. "We worked with Pritamda for about seven years. Having made a lot of music already, Pritamda had decided to take break for four to five months and nothing much was happening. This is when Imran and I decided to look for work. Then we got in touch with Mukhesh Bhattji and he selected a few songs out of our library which we had created. Only a couple of songs have been used from there," explained Bobby.
Talking about Pritam he said, "Pritamda is an institution in himself. Whoever works with him does well in the industry. The best part about him is that he will work on a song until the time he does not like it. He gives you a lot of creative freedom; this is why he even allowed me to sing a few songs. There were times that we have worked for six days for a song at a stretch."
The film 'Badmashiyaan' will hit theaters on 27th February, 2015.
