Tochi Raina, Max Fashion join hands for quake-hit Nepal

MUMBAI: Singer Tochi Raina, of 'Kabira' from 'Ye Jawani Hai Deewani' fame, and Max Fashion have joined hands to do their bit for the earthquake hit-people of Nepal.

Nepal-educated Tochi and his band Thinkerz were approached by Max Fashion for 'Rooh Kampdi', a fund-raising concert.

The singer, who feels he can closely relate with the earthquake victims as his friends and relatives still stay in Nepal, and his father was also posted there once, has come up with a video called ‘Rooh Kampdi’ to pay tribute to the dead and survivors of the devastating quake.

Tochi, who visited Max store at Infinity Mall in suburban Malad in Mumbai on Sunday, said, "I'm really thankful to Max Fashion who has come forward and joined us for the fund raising concert."
"I appreciate this great gesture and I'm so happy to be here," the singer added.

All funds collected from the concert will be sent to Nepal. Tochi will visit Nepal along with NGO Sanman Mahila Multipurpose and Rural Development Society (SMMARDS) to ensure the aid reaches the needy.

Through this collaboration, Max Fashion will be donating 3,000 clothes for the earthquake victims.

A magnitude-7.9 temblor shook the Himalayan nation on 25 April, leaving over 8,800 people dead and many more injured besides causing massive damage to property.
