MUMBAI: RJ Anirudh Chawla, who hosts the show 'LLB' on Big FM has been the top five mentioned RJs according to Ormax, a company that specialises in providing insights about the music, movies and radio industry ratings.
Speaking about what must have worked for him on the show, RJ Anirudh said, "I think more than anything else, it is the small anecdotes about an actor or an actress which I give out on radio that has worked for my show." The RJ is so popular, that even actors like Rishi Kapoor want to be interviewed by him.
RJ Anirudh revealed the best compliment he ever got, was from veteran actress- Padmini Kolhapuri who said that he always brings memories alive. “Even when Rishi Kapoor came to the studio, he got nostalgic and said that songs and the anecdotes which were forgotten with time, came live," Anirudh added.
The RJ is also famous for his on-air romantic behaviour. When he starts the show, he goes on a kissing spree and praises all his listeners, which is probably why he has a lot of female listeners. However, his on-air demeanor has caused him a lot of trouble. Anirudh recently had to lodge a complaint against a woman who followed him to his residence. "It is scary at times, as fans and listeners want you to behave with them in a very romantic way even in real life. There was one time that a lot of my female listeners came to the office to meet me and they would want me to praise their beauty. I do that on radio as a part of my profession. Now outsiders are not allowed to come to the office and so there are times that a few stalkers stand outside the office and follow me till my house," he explained.
Recently the RJ also released a film called 'Sabki Bajegi Band' which gave a sneak-peek into the deep dark secrets of celebrities and their sexual encounters, gossip and fantasies. It also has a song called 'Hello Hi Aye Hai', which is a tagline on radio.
