MUMBAI: ‘All About That Bass’ singer, Meghan Trainor has postponed more gigs, because of her vocal injury. Her scheduled gigs at Tobin Center for the Performing Arts in San Antonio, and one in Chicago have been postponed. Also postponed were shows in Detroit, Michigan, New Jersey and Connecticut among others.
Trainor was diagnosed with a haemorrhage on her vocal chords, due to which she will not be playing any shows for the foreseeable future. The ‘Lips Are Movin’ singer shared the news from her social media pages, where she explained that she had been ordered to take “complete vocal rest” until her throat had healed. She even stated her regret, “I have never missed a tour date before so this is killing me.”
Earlier this month, the 21 year old singer made her first announcement that she would be pulling out of a few shows, through another Instagram post.
However, some of the cancelled shows have rescheduled dates. These include Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville (7 September), Aragon Ballroom in Chicago (9 September), Detroit (11 September) and Atlantic City (13 September).
Trainor’s latest music video ‘Like I’m Gonna Lose You’ will premiere on 9 July in Times Square, New York City.
