MUMBAI: Electronic Dance Music fans have waited quite a while for it, and it has finally happened. DJ Skrillex, the American songwriter and producer has announced that he will be coming to India this October. Supersonic Arcade is bring the ‘Bangarang’ producer to India, where he will travel to four cities- Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Delhi, as part of his Asia tour.
The 27 year old, who recently released a collaboration ‘Where Are U Now’, with Diplo and Justin Bieber, announced news of his upcoming Asia tour through an Instagram post.
His four-city tour in India will begin in Mumbai on 8th October at NSCI SVP Stadium, after which he will head to Bangalore on 9th October (Supernova Arena & Convention Centre), Hyderabad on 10th October (Bulder Hills Golf & Country Club) and finally, New Delhi on 11th October (Huda Grounds).
The ‘Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites’ hitmaker will kick off his Asia Tour on 19th September 2015, where he will play at RTU Ultra in Singapore, followed by his gig at Ultra Music Festival in Japan on 20 September. The tour will take him to several other places including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Manila, Kaula Lumpur, before wrapping up in Delhi, India.
Skrillex, whose real name is Sonny John Moore, began his first tour as a solo artist in 2007. Recently, he teamed up with K-pop singer CL, who is working on her solo English album. It will also feature Florence and the Machine and Diplo.
Skrillex and Diplo have together formed the duo ‘Jack Ü’ for which they will be working on various projects.
