MUMBAI: 'Indian Idol Junior – Season 2' winner Ananya Sritam Nanda is certainly going places. After getting a contract worth 10 lakhs with Universal Music India, the 14-year-old ‘Indian Idol Junior 2’ winner recently met the Prime Minister of India - Narendra Modi.
The young singer met Modi on 15 September, 2015, and credit of this meeting goes to Dharmendra Pradhan, the Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas of Odisha, from where Nanda hails.

As per a reliable source when Pradhan first meet Nanda, during a casual conversation, asked if she would like to meet the PM. The singer is said to have been really excited about the offer, and not long after, a meeting was arranged.
Their meeting was made official by the PM himself on his social networking page yesterday.

Speaking about meeting the Prime Minister, the young singer told IANS, "I can't believe I met Narendra Modi ji. I am in awe with him and his hospitality. Inspite of his busy schedule, he spent 20-30 minutes with me. He personally spoke to my mother, father and sister. I can't even express how happy I am."
Idol contestants Nahid Afrin and Nityashree Venkataramanan were also in the race for the Idol trophy, but Nanda managed to surpass them to the winning title on 6 September, 2015. Later in an interview with Radioandmusic.com Nanda expressed her wish to be the playback voice of Bollywood stars like – Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma and Sonakshi Sinha.
