Gwen Stefani releases new track 'Used To Love You'

MUMBAI: Gwen Stefani dropped a brand new single titled ‘Used To Love You’ on 20 October, as part of her third studio album. The track, which has been released under Interscope Records, comes one year after the pop/hip-hop singer’s last track ‘Baby Don’t Lie’, which will also feature on her upcoming, yet untitled album.

The No Doubt singer first premiered her latest song at a MasterCard Priceless Surprises concert at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on Saturday night. Before beginning her performance of the track, Stefani said, “I just want to share a song that I wrote recently. This song is really special”. Later, ‘The Voice’ coach thanked the audience for listening to it, terming it the “pain and love and my real life.”

‘Used to Love You’, which is produced by JR Rotem, has been co written by Stefani, Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels. The track is already available as a digital download on iTunes, and through streaming services.

Stefani’s upcoming album, will be her first solo album since her 2006 album ‘The Sweet Escape’. However, she did release an album- ‘Push and Shove’ in 2012 with her rock band No Doubt. Meanwhile, ‘Baby Don’t Lie’ is her first solo single since her last solo track- ‘Early Winter’, which was released in 2008.
