MUMBAI: After launching Xperia Z5 Dual and Xperia Z5 Premium Dual in Berlin, Sony will soon make both devices available in India. Xperia Z5 Dual will be available for purchase from 23 October, while the Xperia Z5 Premium Dual will go on sale from 7 November. Both smartphones have dual SIM capacities and have 4G connectivity.
The talking point of the Premium Dual is its 4k technology, which enhances the device’s display, pixel and even camera. The phone features a display of 5.5 inches, and a resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels (801 ppi). It runs on Android OS, v5.1.1 Lollipop and according to reports, the operating system can be upgraded to the v6.0 Marshmallow version.
Meanwhile, the Sony Xperia Dual has a display of 5.2 inches and a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels (424 pixel density). The smartphone is powered by Android v5.1.1 Lollipop, but unlike the former is not upgradable.
Both devices run on Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810.
The two devices run on 3GB RAM and have an internal memory of 32GB, which is expandable upto 200GB using the microSD slot. The primary cameras on both, the Xperia Z5 Dual and Xperia Z5 Premium Dual are 23 megapixels, while the secondary cameras are 5 megapixels. However, only the Premium Dual can shoot 4K videos. The company claims to have an auto focus speed of 0.03 secs because of its hybrid AF feature.
Xperia Z5 Premium Dual sports a non-removable Li-Ion 3430 mAh battery, whilst the Xperia Z5 Dual has a 2900 mAh battery. The Xperia Z5 will be available in Gold, Green and Black colour options, while the Premium will come in Gold and Chrome. The phone packs a QuickCharge v2.0 technology as well, which charges the gadget quickly.
Additionally, the two smartphones are also available in single SIM options.
The Xperia Z5 Premium Dual is priced at Rs 62,990, while the Sony Xperia Z5 Dual is priced at Rs 52,999.
