Johnson, 58, suffered a cardiac arrest and was rushed to a private hospital where he was declared dead. The maestro had scored music for more than 300 Malayalam films and had won the National award for best background score for the films 'Ponthan Mada' in 1994 and 'Sukrutham' in 1995. Johnson has also won state awards five times in his career spanning over three decades.

read moreMUMBAI: The National Music Publishers Association (NMPA) had filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against YouTube in 2007, and has now finally reached a settlement with video-sharing site on Wednesday 17 August. According to the settlement, NMPA, its subsidiary Harry Fox Agency (HFA) and music publishers affiliated with HFA will be able to license their musical compositions to YouTube community and will receive royalties from YouTube for the musical works in videos posted on the site. The complete terms of the agreement is not disclosed.
