BANGLORE: After a year or more of planning, dreaming, hoping and praying, the wait is finally over for Bangalore band Lounge Piranha. After two months of rigorous recording sessions in a studio in Chennai, the band finally launched their much awaited album, Going Nowhere, on 12 October. Amidst the ban on live bands and music in the city, LP still managed to pull a decent crowd of approximately 150 at the Alliance de Fran?§ais. The album is a seven song EP recorded and produced by Noam from Tel Aviv under the name of Mongrel Records.

E-18, the organisers have cited recent serial blasts in the country and other violent occurences as the reasons for this development. When contacted, E-18 CEO Farhad Wadia said, "How can you have a concert when there are bomb blasts in the country? Security was one of the main reasons why we had to postpone the concert. Eventually, the band also decided not to perform since the situation is too precarious."
