MUMBAI: Independent music, film and video distribution company - The Orchard, which is now completely owned by Sony Music, has added three new catalogues to its roster namely - US punk rock and metal indie Tankcrimes, the upcoming Easy Sound Recording Company and UK-based New World Music.

The partnership with Scotty Heath-owned record label - Tankcrimes alone will add 55 punk and metal albums to streaming platforms for the first-time ever. Partnering with Easy Sound Recording Company, The Orchard will now cover worldwide digital and physical distribution for the label’s growing catalog, including releases by Vetiver , Howlin’ Rain and Marianne Faithfull (North America only). The Orchard will also handle distribution for new releases, including Futurebirds’ upcoming studio album ‘Hotel Parties,’ which is slated to release on 25 September.

The Orchard also takes over digital distribution for UK-based New World Music’s full 4,000-song catalog of relaxation and new age music, including releases by Jonn Serrie, Medwyn Goodall, Llewellyn and Phil Thornton. While the label will continue to handle physical distribution, new digital releases will go through The Orchard.
