Zee Music acquires music rights of Akshay Kumar-starrer 'Rustom'

MUMBAI: Music label Zee Music has announced through Twitter that it has acquired the music rights of the film ‘Rustom’. The revelation was made on Akshay Kumar’s 48th birthday on 9 September, who is the lead in the film.

Apart from ‘Rustom’, the company also acquired the music of the film ‘Singh Is Bliing’. The film features songs composed by Sajid-Wajid, Meet Bros Anjjan, Manj Musik and Sneha Khanwalkar.

Few weeks’ back, songs from the film -‘Tung Tung Baje’ and ‘Singh and Kaur’ was released by the label.

On Kumar’s birthday, the track ‘Cinema Dekhe Mamma’ was launched by the label. Duo Sajid-Wajid has given music to the song ‘Cinema Dekhe Mamma’ which marks the first association of the duo with the label. Wajid, Shaan and Ritu Pathak, have given the vocals for the track.

On the other hand, the first schedule of the shoot of ‘Rustom’ will commence by mid-December 2015. The movie will be filmed in multiple locations globally. The project is co-produced by Zee Studios, KriArj Entertainment and FridayFilmworks. The romantic thriller marks the directorial debut of Tinu Suresh Desai. There are no details out about the music composer/s for the film.
