Pandora releases Top Thumb Hundred 2015; The Weeknd's 'Earned It' takes top spot

MUMBAI: Online radio - Pandora – today released a list of the 100 most thumbed up songs of 2015. The Top Thumb Hundred features a wide range of music from different genres.

Music stars who made it to the list include pop divas Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, crooners Sam Smith and John Legend, hip hop’s Rich Homie Quan, Fetty Wap, Drake (and yes, Meek Mill), and even legendary artists Lynyrd Skynyrd and Ben E. King.

Speaking on the release of the songs Pandora Music Makers Group SVP Lars Murray said, “Listeners flock to Pandora to hear their favorite music”.  

He further added, “The Thumb Hundred is unique in radio. It isn’t a list of what Pandora told people to listen to, it's a true reflection of what more than 78 million monthly listeners told us their top songs for the year are, through every single thumb up.”

The Weeknd took the top spot with ‘Earned It’, and made it to the list a total of three times. Drake has made it in the list 12 times for both, his original tracks or on collaborations. Not to be outdone, Taylor Swift made four solo appearances on the list.
