MUMBAI: The Sterling Reserve Music Project has been launched to promote aspiring singers and songwriters who can showcase their talent and release their music globally.

Universal Music India and Allied Blenders and Distillers made the announcement on Thursday.

"I have always wanted to create and develop a genuine platform that enables real artistes, irrespective for who they are, what they sing and where they come from to be able to share their gift with the world," Managing Director and Universal Music and EMI Music, India and South Asia CEO Devraj Sanyal, said in a statement.

Sharing his vision, Allied Blenders and Distillers Chief Operating Officer Bikram Basu said, "We hope to start an incredible journey to encourage and present talent to wide audiences with The Sterling Reserve Music Project."

The project's debut track, Hear Me by singer Anushqa, is out now.

"I am really thrilled that my song will kick-start this platform. There is immense talent tucked away in the country and opportunities like this will help us unlock opportunities for all of them," Anushqa said.
