Palak Muchhal to launch her own YouTube channel
Palak Munchal

MUMBAI: Palak Muchhal has been quite the talk of town for songs like ‘Mere Aashiqui’ and ‘Laapata’, among many others. Now, the Bollywood singer will be launching her own YouTube channel, in association with One Digital Entertainment. The channel, which is set for launch on 20 October 2015, will have content updated once a week.

“I have been planning to launch a YouTube channel for a long time now, and things have finally fallen into place for me. Also fans have been asking me to share more details about me, in terms of concerts, how I jam, how I spend my day etc. This is when the idea of launching my own channel came to me,” said Muchhal. She explained that the channel will help bridge the gap between her fans and her, by offering them more details about her life.

The videos will be a few minutes long, and the channel will be launched with footage of the singer’s performance at the Royal Albert Hall. “We will start with my performance at the Royal Albert Hall because singing there is one of the most beautiful experiences of my life, and is very close to my heart. It also created a lot of buzz, so we thought people would obviously want to know more about it,” she added.

Some videos will also feature her pet dog- Laddu, and the dolls she buys after funding a surgery. She will also be doing an unplugged version of her own song. Videos of her performances will be longer than other videos. Muchhal also revealed that four videos have already been shot for the channel.

The ‘Tum Hi Ho’ singer is not the only Muchhal that will have her very own YouTube channel. Her composer brother, Palash, has also partnered One Digital Entertainment and will launch his YouTube channel soon.

Muchhal said that the One Digital team ensures that the two of them have different content on their respective YouTube channels. “We are both different as in I am a singer and he is a composer. Our content will be different. For instance, Palash’s channel will focus on different areas as compared to mine,” she elucidated.

Apart from her new YouTube channel, the singer has also crooned three new songs- ‘Aaj Unse Kehna Hai’, ‘Jab Tum Chaho’ and ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ for the Salman Khan starrer- ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’.
