MUMBAI: Record label Interscope has added famed pop star Selena Gomez to its roster of award-winning music artistes, as confirmed by Gomez herself. The singer best known for hits like 'Who Says' and 'Love You Like A Love Song' was signed under Hollywood Records since 2008. Through Hollywood Records, Gomez released her debut studio album, 'Stars Dance' in 2013 and three albums with her band, 'Selena Gomez and the Scene'.

The 'Come & Get It' singer recently posted the news on her Instagram page stating, "Guess who's officially an Interscope artist! #thisiswhatdreamsaremadeof." Amongst the one million Instagram users to have "liked" the post is DJ Zedd, which adds to the speculation of a 'Gomez and Zedd' collaboration.

To finalise her contract with Hollywood Records, Gomez released a compilation album, 'For You'. From that album, she sang a heart-wrenching rendition of 'The Heart Wants What It Wants' at the American Music Awards 2014. Gomez has cited artistes such as Britney Spears and Skrillex as influences on the record, which stylistically features EDM and pop music. Elements of dubstep, techno, disco and worldbeat have been noted on the album. Through the album, Gomez discusses love and relationships, namely her highly publicised relationship with fellow pop artiste Justin Bieber.

Interscope Records currently boasts a roster of award winning music artistes such as Lady Gaga, OneRepublic, Eminem, The Black Eyes Peas, Ellie Goulding, Skylar Gray, Madonna, Maroon 5, The Rolling Stones, Timbaland and Lana Del Rey.
