MUMBAI: Eros International Media Ltd and Excel Entertainment have announced their association for the worldwide release of the musical drama ‘Rock On 2’. The film is a sequel of ‘Rock On’ and is penned by the debutant filmmaker Shujaat Saudagar.

Actors like Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli and Prachi Desai will be seen once again in the film. ‘Aashiqui 2’ actress Shraddha Kapoor has also joined the bandwagon and will play a lead role with Farhan Akhtar for the first time.

Eros International Media CEO Jyoti Deshpande said, "With ‘Rock On 2’, we continue our synergy with Excel after our previous successes like ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. The sequel promises to be another heartwarming story high on content and entertainment”.

The film will be shot in Shillong, the rock capital of India. It is also heard that the actress Kapoor who was last heard singing ‘Galliyan’ will also be rendering her vocals for the most of the songs of the film.
