Horus Music strengthens India ops: Second business development manager appointed

MUMBAI: UK-based music distribution and label services company Horus Music has made serious movements since expanding its operations to India. Almost a month ago, the organisation announced Malini Hariharan as the Mumbai office's business development manager.

The company’s goal to tailor its services to suit the Indian music market has gained momentum through the announcement of the second business development manager in the form of Trupti Kudalkar. The new assignee will work alongside Malini Hariharan for Horus Music India.

Kudalkar joins Horus Music India after successful stints at Web18, Hungama Digital Media Pvt. Ltd. and Vuclip, where she handled content operations and label relations. Kudalkar has been appointed citing her expertise in the field of Indian music regarding the label operations and business development.

On the appointment, CEO of Horus Music Nick Dunn said, "We are delighted to announce Trupti as the latest member of the Horus Music India team. As Midem celebrates its 50th year and we our 10th, Midem is a great occasion to introduce the team to the global community. Trupti brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, not from just the audio side, but from other areas too including videos and app development. Trupti's enthusiasm to take the company to great heights is an exciting prospect we cannot wait to start."

The appointment of Trupti Kudalkar comes one month after the announcement of Malini Hariharan as the first Business Development Manager. The addition of the two managers at Horus Music India comes at the right time, believes the organization and the familiarity with Kudalkar’s work helped the decision further. “We've been working with Trupti for a number of years in her roles with other companies and we've been able to build a great working relationship with her. Trupti is extremely knowledgable, efficient and visionary. We are excited to be working together on new services for the benefit of the independent music community,” said Director of Horus Music India, Nina Condron.
