T-Series tops YouTube's most viewed channels

MUMBAI: With the start of November 2016, Indian record label T-Series' YouTube channel completed twelve weeks at the top of the chart. The 'chart', a weekly installment by Tubefilter, ranked top 50 YouTube channels, and the first week of November continued to witness T-Series’ growth in terms of viewership.

The record label, also an entertainment company, enjoyed twelve consecutive weeks at the top, with a 4 per cent rise in views. The company’s YouTube channel had been viewed at nearly 174.1 million times, according the data provided by Open Slate. The second ranked Ryan ToysReviews fell short by at least 21 million views.

Another giant Indian record label Sony Music India jumped 17 positions to reach 27th this week. With 59,517,041, the label’s YouTube channel did better than James Corden’s The Late Late Show.

With a loss of 20 per cent in views compared to previous week, Zee Music India finished the week at 48th position. Zee Music India has 46,799,582 views, and joins the exclusive list of Indian companies in the list, along with T-Series, Sony Music India, Zee TV, Chuchu TV Kids Songs and SET India.
