Capitol Music Group appointed Ambrosia Healy as SVP/head of media strategy and relations

MUMBAI: Industry veteran Ambrosia Healy has joined Capitol Music Group (CMG) as the senior vice president/ head of media strategy and relations. She will report to CMG EVP Greg Thompson. All CMG label publicists will report to Healy with immediate effect. This is her second stint with CMG.

Healy will oversee the design and execution of all publicity plans for CMG artistes and projects spanning the company’s portfolio of labels, including Capitol, Virgin, Motown, Harvest, Blue Note and Astralwerks. In her previous stint with CMG, Healy held the position of VP of Publicity for Capitol Records.

According to CMG chairman and CEO Steve Barnett, “It takes more sophistication than ever to work with the media and secure the right opportunities for our artistes, and Ambrosia is remarkably talented and skilled at her job. She is adept at seeing the big picture as well as executing the day-to-day aspects of the job, and her contributions to CMG will be vital to our success.”

Healy said, “Getting to know Steve and seeing his vision for Capitol Music Group and its artistes come to life has been truly inspiring. He has transformed the company into a place where the best artistes want to be and the best people want to work.”

She has worked with Greg as the independent publicist for artistes including Coldplay, Bastille and Emeli Sande. Thompson said, “It is great to have her with us full time as an integral member of CMG, and all of us welcome her wholeheartedly to the company.”

She began her career in 1992 as the publicist for the Fox Theatre. In 1993, she started an independent publicity company with DMB as her first client.
