Music label Strumm Entertainment experiments with Bollywood music

MUMBAI: The 17 month old music label Strumm Entertainment, has come up with a music album 'Bollywood Unwind' which is a rearrangement of retro songs like 'Pal Pal Dil Ke Pass', 'Samne Yeh Kaun Aaya', 'Kehna Hi Kya' and many more. This is a part of Strumm Entertainment's plan to experiment in various genres.

The company since its inception has released 500 tracks and most of them are into the devotional space. According to the director of Strumm Entertainment, Suresh Thangiah they did not wish to stick to one specific genre which is why they came up with an album which used the Bollywood tunes. "This is one thing that we experimented in the Southern market wherein the old tracks were rearranged and the tracks got an amazing response," he said.

The company Strumm Entertainment is run by three directors namely former EMI MD Thangiah (whole-time director), Raghunandan Ramachandra Samant (director) and Deepashree Raghunandan Samant (director).

Talking about the album, Thangiah said, "It took us around six months to work on this album. The songs and the artistes were decided by the director of the company Deepashree Samant. Her vast experience in the field of music helped us a lot." 'Bollywood Unwind' album comprises 12 tracks and songs are sung by Akriti Kakar, Mohammed Irfan, Ash King, Meiyang Chang and various other artistes. The company acquired music licenses from Universal Music and Carnival Electronics Pvt. Ltd.

The album is available on digital platforms like iTunes, Snapdeal and Amazon and at all the music stores.  Right now, the video of the Akriti Kakar is available on Youtube.
