Eros Music adds music rights of 'Maane Thaene Paeye' and 'Pencil' to its roster

MUMBAI: At the end of last year, Eros Music acquired the music rights of two Tamil films- 'Darling' and 'Tamiluku En Ondrai Aluthavum' and announced its foray in the Tamil space. Adding to its expansion plans in South, the company announced that it had acquired the music rights of the films 'Maane Thaene Paeye' (Tamil) and 'Pencil' (Tamil and Telugu).

Eros International Media Ltd GM – music division Deepak Bali said, “With this acquisition, we look forward to strengthen our portfolio in the Tamil music market. Our foray with 'Kaththi', 'Lingaa' and 'Darling' has been successful and we are looking at leveraging our strength by releasing such exciting film albums.

The music of the rom-com movie 'Maane Thaene Paeye' is given by C. Sathya. The film is directed by N. Krishna and features Aari, Subhashree Ganguly and Daniel Balaji. Meanwhile, Mani Nagaraj's thriller film 'Pencil' has music composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar, who will also be starring in the film alongside Sri Divya.

The tracks from both the films will be available across physical and digital formats.

Bali added, “We are proud to associate with C. Sathya and are confident about the success of the super melodious compositions of 'Maane Thaene Paeye'. G.V Prakash has composed great music for 'Pencil' and we are sure that 'Pencil' as an album will touch every youngster's heart.
