The CW and iHeartMedia ink multi-year broadcast deal for iHeartRadio Music Festival

MUMBAI: Television network- The CW and digital radio platform iHeartMedia announced a new multi-year broadcast agreement for iHeartRadio Music Festival. As per the agreement, the CW will remain the exclusive television broadcaster of the two-day iHeartRadio Music Festival.

Apart from iHeartRadio Music Festival, it will also telecast the annual holiday iHeartRadio Jingle Ball concert.

Performance by Coldplay, The Killers, Kanye West, Kenny Chesney, Puff Daddy, Jennifer Lopez, Blake Shelton, The Weeknd, Nick Jonas, and more, is part of iHeartRadio Music Festival 2015 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The announcement of the deal was made by The CW president Mark Pedowitz and iHeartMedia Entertainment Enterprises president John Sykes.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with iHeartMedia,” said Pedowitz. “The iHeartRadio Music Festival kicks off our fall each year with high energy and terrific music, and we are very pleased that we will continue that tradition in the years to come.”

Commenting on the deal, Sykes added, “The CW’s young musically engaged audience is a perfect match for the artists we are discovering on iHeartRadio. These shows serve as perfect promotional showcases for artists and their music on an important platform, and delivers on our mission of connecting the music to the fans.”

The CW will telecast a two-night special on 29 and 30 September.
