No complimentary tickets this time at Sunburn Goa 2019: Percept Limited Chairman and MD Harindra Singh

MUMBAI: Percept Limited, an entertainment, media, and communications company with their IP Sunburn 2019 would be coming up with a bang in Goa on 23-24 February. But there is sad news for the audience as there would be no complimentary tickets being given by the organizers. To know why we spoke to Percept Limited Chairman and MD Harindra Singh who gave us the reason below.

“Given the past misunderstandings on the taxes levied on the complimentary tickets issued, we have adopted the zero complimentary tickets policy for Sunburn Klassique. If free passes are issued then we have to pay 28 percent tax. This is the law and I cannot shout out loud that we can't pay tax on zero revenue tickets. So we have taken a blanket call that there would be no complimentary tickets issued this time around,” said Harindra Singh.

He further continued, “The Goa Government has also been very proactive in its approach to finding a resolution on the Police Bandobast fees levied. We had a presentation to the Director General of Police Muktesh Chander on why we should not be charged the huge amount for the Police Bandobast. A discussion was also held with the Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes on the entertainment fees, and we are hopeful that the matter will be resolved amicably.”
