Nariyal Paani: A music festival by the sea at Alibaug

MUMBAI: Nariyal Paani – India’s most chilled out music festival – is set for the weekend of 23rd and 24th January 2016, and it promises to be magical.

Performances will include a variety of talent from across India and the World, ranging from indie pop and contemporary jazz and funk to more mellow, folksy outfits. The festival site is an enchanting and secluded location by the sea in Alibaug which ensures festival goers a very unique experience. This two-day independent event, a short boat ride away from Mumbai, welcomes anyone who wants to get away and relax with family and friends, and enjoy some of life’s simplest pleasures: the ocean, coconut palms, great food, blue skies, and a stellar soundtrack.

Some of the bands performing are Vasuda Sharma, Feyago, Ska Vengers, Begum, Prateek Kuhad, ZAP, Laxmi Bomb, Nicholson, Ranjit and The Ambassadors, amongst others.

Age is no bar, and the site is also pet-friendly. The festival is green and sustainable, which means no plastic on site. Also, the use of solar lamps and solar generators will lower the carbon footprint.

Organiser Sid Khanna says, “Nariyal Pani will be a two-day indie music festival in Alibaug.  It’s the perfect weekend getaway to enjoy some of life’s simplest pleasures: the ocean, coconut palms, camping, great food, blue skies and a stellar soundtrack.”
